Abstract

This experiment was carried out at Estação Experimental Central of the Instituto de Zootecnia, Nova Odessa, State of São Paulo, from January to December of 1975, with catches by means of light-traps €œLuiz de Queiroz€ modei, using ultravioiet fluorescent iamp (F15 T8 BL). The results showed that 30 species of pasture insect pests were collected, 9 of which live in gramineous plants, 10 in leguminosae and 11 were indifferent. The fluctuation of the populations of these pests was determined based on monthly numbers of individuals. The data indicated that insect pest populations were higher from December to March, and showed the highest populations on February.
