Abstract

With the aim of testing the existence or not of homogeneity inside and between three seed germinators made in Brazil, two experiments were carried out using colonial grass seeds. In the first essay the substract for germination was irrigated , only at the begining of the tests, with a KNO3 solution (0.2%). The results showed that there were differences between the germinators at the first and at the final counting. The CASPMATIC germinator presented results different from those presented by 347/E and 3480 FANEM germinators. There were also differences in the results obtained inside the CASPMATIC and FANEM 348G germinators. When the germination tests were irrigated everytime it was necessary (second essay), the results showed (at the first counting) that there were differences between germinators and inside germinators (CASPMATIC and FANEM 348G). When the germination test results of the final counting were analysed, it was observed that there were differences between CASPMATIC and FANEM 348G germinators. It was not detected any plane€™s level differences inside the germinators.
