Thirty five castrated male were used on the experiment to evaluate toasted soybean as a substitute to soybean meal by increasing levels of 0, 25, 50, 75 e 100%. The experiment lasted 70 days and the initial and final averge live weights were 23.52 ± 2.13 and 85.81 ± 5.42. All animals were accomodated in individual cages with feed and water €œad libitum€. Increasing dietary soybean levels showed no significance for performance and carcass characteristics, but a tendency of a less lean carcass was observed.
